ferrypoint 26-11-10

People:me & gitsea m

Duration:3pm - 1 am

Tide:lw 2.30pm

Weather:windy,cold

Bait:lug,crab

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:me 22 codling,3,coalie,1,whiting gitsea 12,codling,4,coalie,2,flounder




Report:arrived and was fishing for 3pm first cast gitsea had a nice plump flounder at 36 cm and then on his next cast had a better one at 40 cm that was the way of things to come with me geting a small codling and then all hell broke loose with fish every cast or missed bites we had plenty of doubles but all fish were small near hw we had a few coalies all small again and then i got a whiting fishing went a bit slow after about 2 hours of the drop with the odd codling coming in but a least we had a fire going to keep us warm we went to bed about 1am and woke up to a winter wounderland next morning and it took us over 4 hours geting home

2 hefty flounder there, well done.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

I'd be in my element, if the beaches up here,turn up flounder like that over the winter. Nice result!
