Aux motor

#1 Post by mick101 »

Hi there. I have an old seahog with a 50hp 2 stroke short shaft. I plan to mount a 6hp aux on a bracket. Am I right to assume I need a short shaft aux motor or do I need a long shaft , and will the type of bracket I use dictate the shaft length? Any advice on shaft length or bracket type (make, adjustable or not) would be appreciated. Thanks, Mick.

You will more that likely need a long shaft engine.
