got the lure rod out today as its been calm for a few days water clarity was perfect with a little weed, just as the light faded got a bass about 5lb
then very next cast lost a better fish then that was it wasnt expecting anything tbh just wanted to wet a plug

I oiled and greased the spinning reels and put them away a month ago - might have to get them out again

cheers lads......brian i think it depends on the weather of course not as many fish around and as active as the summer months but always worth a shot if theres a bit of water clarity

Nice one Sean...theres some nice fat feckers around alright...do you find they are a little deeper and the plugs need slowing down as the water cools????(haven't fished the last week...too cold for me)

slowing it all down seems to be what most lads do this time of year luanaigh havnt been plugging enough this time of year to say for sure myself maybe next week if the weather/roads improve
