Fishing Programmes on UPC?

#1 Post by daminim »

hey guys

Just wondering if anyone else here has UPC - and if so - what decent fishing series/programmes are scheduled on it???

I can never seem to find any decent ones on..and UPC doesn't have channel 5 - which I believe has a new program about adventure fishing or something on it. Other than that theirs the usual trawler wars/deadliest catch but no dedicated angling programs that i know of??

So what angling related TV is out there? It would be great to see an Irish TV program based on some of the fantastic angling we have on our shores and inland waters - tuna off the coast / big lake and river pike / the age old salmon / some of the best bass angling in UK waters. List goes on and on. no point in asking people on the forum if they would be interested..does the cat sh1t in the woods?! :P but just putting it out there..

Not many (if any) dedicated sea angling shows, but there is tightlines on skysports - think its friday 7pm, quest (I have sky, so dont know if this channel runs on upc) sometimes have a few programmes, then as mentioned above, discovery/discoveryrealtime.

Didnt hear that no - Shamoo was the name of a boat I previously owned.

Be nice to see a dedicated angling channel on tv for sure, however it would only be filled with repeats of old programmes (as most of the sky/upc channels are), there doesnt seem to be much new content produced for tv these days right across the board.

Perhaps some of the major tackle brands should sponsor a fishing channel
