getting back home safely in the conditions forecast is more of a concern, never mind a few fish.
driving on ice and snow for over 100 miles is dodgey to say the least

Lads, unfortunately due to terrible weather forecast for this weekend, the committee have decided to cancel the Lacken competition.

The last leg of our Master Angler will now be run off during our Christmas competition on December 4th in Greystones. Sorry for the inconvenience caused, but as John points out, 100 miles, some of it on bad roads isn’t a good idea in what has been forecast.

Very disappointing lads but mother nature isn't very obliging or sentimental. All things considered it's a good call and I for one appreciate the early warning from the committee before digging worms or buying crab.

Roll on Greystone

Sat 4th December 5 - 10pm. There'll be a letter sent out to all members before the end of the week with the details of the comp & AGM.
