Glenarm Breakwater, Co Antrim, 16/11/10

#1 Post by Drew »

People: Bingham, Michael, Me

Duration: 8pm - Midnight

Tide: High n Drop

Weather: Windy as hell, not too cold, Storm's coming though...

Bait: Rag, Lug, Mack, Sandeel, Squid, Razor

Rigs: Loops, Pulleys, DD Pulleys, Flappers, Clip downs...

Results:
Bingham: 1 Pollack, 1 Shore Rockling, A Few Pouting
Michael: 2 Dogs and a Pouting
Me : 2 Codling, A Few Pouting.

Report:

With a storm forecast we thought it best to try and outrun the rain, so we got up the coast and set up for 8pm. Fishing was slow enough, With a smattering of Pouting interspersed with another could of species... The Lug picked up the Codling and fish baits for the dogs.

3 Lobsters landed, all returned.

One of the Codling had a run in with something while hooked and came in without a tail.

The wind made things fun at the end, those 60mph gusts they forecast are definitely blowing now...

Only other thing of note was a wee Rat scurrying about the rocks squeeking like a trooper...

I'll add some pics tomorrow.

Jesus Alan, doesn't sound too good! I was expecting more from Glenarm to be honest... Remember some good codling fishing off there a couple of years back...
