NEW WINTER MARK ON THE CAUSEWAY

#1 Post by nicki d »

Got kicked out the house Saturday so the wane could have friends round. so i thought i would try a mark i have wanted to fish for a while.
got there about 3 and fished til 7 and had frozen lug, some old rag and mack so had enough bait.
set up both my big beach and cast first one in, started setting up second and rod went, nice three bearded rockling 1.3lb, rebaited and cast again and got on with the other rod and as soon as second rod out a nice big coalie ruff 2 and abit.
it then went dead for about half anhour and then bang and big pollock over 3lb and then from there as it started to get dark the doggies came on with a total of 6 altogether but i lost to good fish one on the way in and one when i had to go down and free it, got there and it had gone.
just before packing up the flatties were having a feed with a quick rig change i had a small flounder so end up a good trip to a new mark i will fish through the winter
