Killiney 3/11/2010

#1 Post by Trojan »

Myself and Dave.

7-10pm.

ht 9ish.

mild.

Rag.

Flappers.

2 schoolies,1 rockling.

Was thinking of going down the wicklow direction but got lazy and descided to stay local.I had a bita look the other day not to far up from were i fished this evening so descided id give it a try.Arrived down and it was spitting rain im not one of these swamp donkeys(dave) that will fish in a tropical storm so if it was going to get worse he was on his own.first two hours not even a bite then when i was thinking of reeling it in a got a descent bite a nice schoolie of just on 40cm.one or two more missed bites and i landed a second nearly identical to the first. It went quite again for a bit then as we were in the middle of talking sh$$e the rod came flying outa the stand i grabbed it and felt a heavy pull then it went slack.Last cast and i caught a rockling among aload of weed. All in all it was a good night and i have to thank eric for some expert advice on the area. .

Nice session, fair play. I fished there for 2 hours on tuesday with a mate and we only had a flounder and small codling.
