boat trips

a few of us are looking to try boat fishing, and i was wonder is boat fishing mainly a summer thing or would we be able to get taken out in the next few weeks ?
Species 2010.(2) Doggie, Cod
Species 2011.(12) Dab, Coalie, 5 Bearded Rockling, Whiting, Doggie, Pollock, Shanny/Common Blenny, Silver Eel, Mackerel, Wrasse, Sting Ray, Cod

Species 2012.(5) Sea Scorpion, Pollock, sand eel, mackerel, corkwing wrasse.

2012 Wishlist. Conger, Smooth Hound, Bass

the weather is the only thing that will stop the charter
boats ,some great fishing to be had down in kilmore quay
at the moment

id fully agree with that. your best shot is to ring acharter skipper, and ask what is the best day weather wise. they usually know whats on the cards

yep,kilmore is the place for winter fishing-keep an eye on xc weather or some other long range forecasts and try work around that

A bit further to travel but fishing in Cork Harbour is on fire at present and the weather is rarely a problem here :wink:
