I used zziplex as a boy and then onto century. Now I have gone the anyfish anywhere range of rods and found them the dogs boll-x but I Bough my daughter the Penn powerstix after i I had a shot of one and right now I am after another for her, so she can fish a twin rod.
I have also looked at the salt range, and can't fault them at all for the cash you pay.

Have the 13ft powerstix and love it. Nice whip off it when casting.

PENN IS A FANTASTIC ROD FOR THE MONEY WITH QUALITY FITTINGS AND EASY TO TRANSPORT BEING 3 PIECE. CASTS BETTER WITH SLIGHTLY LIGHTER LEADS THAN THE RATING. YOU CAN'T GO TOO FAR WRONG THERE.

Yep looks like you have made a good choice, if you get the deal! I recently bought a penn powerstix 13ft for my wife and I have to say its a great rod. Its being used with a fixed spool reel and she is enjoying her fishing

Have a 13ft powerstix myself for just over a year now and cannot fault it.
