Does anyone have any info regarding the small rig platform set up at sea close to the lighthouse ....

i think its to monitor nitrate levels in the water which contribute to algae bloom, dont quote me though 8)

130 views and only one reply,thanks Liamemax.Phoned up dublin port out of curiosity and they couldnt answer then but the usual reply,they said they would call back :roll: ,tried to upload a photo of it but having problems with it being too large .......

:lol: :lol: nice one,after posting and thinking after i knew that reply was coming,putting the hand out to be slapped :lol: . It was just strange to see something like that when driving down especially when you werent expecting it and still have got no return phonecall from dublin port,wont be holding my breath so,conspiracy theory in the making :lol: :lol:

if you have no luck with the port authority. try the planning board they would need planning permission for any structure
even if its only temporary

as far as i know its for laying a pipe thats going about 2 mile out think its going to be pumping out treated water from ringsend sewage plant as far as i know
if ya cant fish in heaven i dont wanna go!!!!!!!!!

lovely more s*** for the fish to eat bring it out 2 miles and let it come back in to the bay on the tide

Lucky i didnt hold my breath because no reply from dublin port,tried for ages on the internet to find out but nothing.Somebody else was saying its to do with a sewerage pipe being laid from the northside to the sewerage treatment plant there and that similar has been seen donabate portrane direction...

the rig is testing the sea bed for a pipe to go 6mile out too the beau ford bank with the treated water coming from the sewage plant in poolbeg .the plant is upping their capacitive over the next few years .by bring the treated water out so far it will stop the algae bloom in Dublin bay so no more brown sh/t on the beaches of Dublin .the sooner they put the pipe in the better i say.
