Hi lads just thought i'd put this up, was walking down by the claddagh today (wednesday) in and around where the swans are and noticed that there are hundreds and hundreds of dead fish at the bottom, tide was low and i wanted to get down to see what they were but couldn't, they were small and silver, they weren't mullet or mackerel, a couple of big mullet were taking bites of them, anyway i have reported it to the western sea fisheries board. i just hope that area hasn't been polluted by some chemical or something..

Re: Dead Fish in Galway
I remember seeing that earlier in the year, they looked like sprat and thought that it couldn't be much in the way of pollution as there wasn't any bigger fish dead.

Re: Dead Fish in Galway
I was down at knockadoon pier in a few weeks back and there were about 20 thornies washed up on the beach. I was gutted standing there looking at them. I'd love to catch one and some traweller probably just chucked these over board. I've seen it in ringaskiddy in cork too with angler fish and flounder washed up by paddys point.
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark
Species 2015: Ballan wrasse, poor cod, pollack, ling, flounder, turbot, mackerel, whiting, lsd, dab, grey gurnard, pouting, cuckoo wrasse, cod
