GLENARM BEACH SAT 2ND OCTOBER

MYSELF AND MATE:

Duration:1900-2230

Tide:ON WAY OUT

Weather:CLEAR A FEW SPOTS OF RAIN

Bait:RAG, MACKEREL, SQUID

Rigs:FLAPPERS

Results:CODLING, POLLACK, WHITING, FLOUNDER




Report:Headed up to Glenarm beach for a few hours sat evening with my mate , set up and got the baits out as soon as they hit the water hooks were getting stripped by shoals of small whiting the mate got a good knock and reeled in a pollack of 1lb i then landed a small whiting the a small codling (i mean small) went slow for a while then the mate landed another pollack of 1lb about 15 mins later the mate got a big knock on his rod and reeled in a great codling that weighed in at 1.5lbs :mrgreen: i got a flounder 5 mis before we packed up was a good night out all fish were released unharmed even the flounder was was a bit tricky to unhook but thanks to a post on the forum that showed a way to unhook them. :mrgreen: i will add the pictures when i get a bit of time.

sounds like a decent enough session :P that spot in front of the police station is well handy. sometimes it can be blowing a gale in all the other bays and that place is the only spot still fishable :P seems to have it's own micro climate :)

YES MATE LOVE THAT WEE BEACH :mrgreen: DEAD HANDY FISHING HAS NOT BEEN TO BAD ON IT LATELY TO. BROUGHT THE MATE UP IT WAS HIS FIRST TIME BEACH FISHING AND HE SHOWED ME UP NIGHTMARE :( HERE IS A FEW PICTURES QUALITY NOT GREAT FORGOT CAMERA HAD TO USE PHONE.

well done as al says when its too ruff anywhere along that coast you can always bet that glenarm is do able prob cause its all higher ground above it :)
