portrush area, co. derry 24/9/10
People:myself
Duration:6 hours
Tide:low to high
Weather:clear spells, rough seas
Bait:rag, sand eels
Rigs:2 hook pennel
Results:1 bass
Report:ok, so arrived 2.30am and fished the beach with no joy for 3 hours, managing only to break a tooth on a choc bar
moved onto the rocks just before dawn broke, hard to tell a bite with the strength of the tide, but low and behold one of them silver fellas was on me hook, weighed at 3lb (my first ever) as the tide started to turn
should have went home there and then, instead a few casts later and managed to break my bass rod mid cast. . . .
packed up and went home soon after. . . . .a happy man i am

Well done fella. I did take a look at it last night but decided the 30mph wind in my face with that surf would make it a little 'sporty'. Did look good for bass if anybody braved it though.
