People: myself 2 others

Duration: 7 till 10.30

Tide: usual not doing much

Weather: windy at start, then died, no rain

Bait: crab, lug, rag, mac, sandeel, squid

Rigs: 3 hook flapper, 1 hook clipped down

Results: 2 whiting 2 rockling

Report only sticking this up as i said i would yesterday

there was a bit of weed on the beach - but loads and loads of mussel shells - something had been tearing up the sea bed?

first cast a whiting - one of the lads then had one - then quiet got dark thinking more fish would come on didnt happen

was a good solid breaker in front - needed a grip to stay in the gulley - nothing happening out far - odd piece of kelp showing

then the wind died and the weed came on - that matted light stuff thats a bas tard to get off - it would sink the line and then the kelp would get in

had a few more casts and picked up a rockling - but it was nearly 20mins to clear the weed - then had another cast another rockling - but again all the weed - took me nearly 30mins to sort the 2 rods before i could go home

absolute weed fest - pretty dire session - to make matters worse - my mate got done - for a light - was amber guard - no! - 2 points, €80 fine - great day out

Well Brian with the rain, weed and the hit on the way home what can I say... Just one of those nights.
Fair Play for heading out all the same as it lashed rain all evening, but on the bright side as Al said blank saved.
