Gearbox problems

We left or outboard in to get serviced and we were told that reverse gear wasnt working-they took out the gearbox but cant fix it.We now need to get another gearbox.Our engine is a 50hp Suzuki.
Any ideas?

Did they tell you the exact problem m8?
Was it the reverse gear or the dog clutch thats gone..
its usually the dog clutch which is replaceable...
