Shakespeare Neptune 1471-050 butt section

#1 Post by Conor H »

Last resort folks, I've lost the butt section on my boat rod , it's a Shakespeare Neptune 1471-050 - no longer produced, and Shakespeare dont have a butt section to replace it. Anyone any ideas as to where I can get a new butt !! :(

Sounds like a job for Julian Shambrook.

Mind you, the cost may be greater than the price of a new rod!

Cheers TRat, I know I can pick up a cheap rod, but it seems a waste to have a good top section going to waste, I'd rather fix it that buy a new one.

I'll try that number and if no joy will just forget about it.

Cheers again !

Conor,

You should try and find out if the tip is compatable with any other (shakespere) rods. This could broaded your search and if it doesn't turn up a butt end you may be able to get a complete rod that you will have a spare top end for as these are what usuall break.
