Report:
Meet up with Jamie for a few casts yesterday & we were blessed with the good weather rain, rain & more f......g rain.
We headed to a rock mark first for a look but decided to try the nearby beach for a cast where some clown plunged his car into a four foot deep drain
Got set up & Jamie was first of the mark with a Doggie, we only fished for a while as the rain was pouring down on us & a fairly strong breeze blowing so we packed up & made our way to another sheltered rock mark a few miles away & try For Wrasse & Pollock.
Arrived at the mark & got the gear ready & headed to the rocks. There was some heavy rain falling & the nearby laneway had turned into a small river with mini waterfalls coming down the cliff faces
Started off with some Wrasse fishing but it was very slow going I picked up a few but that was it so plan b was to head over to another mark that usually throws up some good fish.
Packed up the rods & walked over to next spot but with all the floods flowing into the sea seem to put the Wrasse of feeding I picked up another few Wrasse before we tried spinning but swells were forming with the filling tide & can only fish this mark for a couple of hours on the flood tide, Jamie picked up a Coalie & my reel packed in
Made our way over & started spinning I first of the mark with a Pollock followed by a bigger one then Jamie got one but the swells were getting to doggy so called it a day, we got a few fish in bad conditions
