Malahide Dublin 6/ 9

#1 Post by lambay »

People:me and mate

Duration:2hrs

Weather:sunny and calm

Bait: bread hermit crab ragworm dog biscuit

Rigs:simple float rig / simple ledger rig

Results:1 fish hooked 0 landed

Report: Went down to broadmeadows estuary ( look at Malahide mullet marks in shore q/a for info on it ) to try and catch a thick lipped mullet . When I got down there it was absoloutly alive with mullet ,there must have been a 100 in the area i was fishing :D they glided past less than a metre away from shore but totally ignored bait  . I left the bait for about an hour and the rod suddenly arched over but it spat the hook out when i had it less than metre from the shore  rest of the day the mullet gradually eased off and no more bites :(

was good day fishing anyway

yeah dog biscuits are basicly like cheap coarse fishing pellets havent got fish landed on one yet do :( They gobble them up off the surface and a few times mouth it and then spit it out
