Report:I went home for the weekend and when the niece saw the rods in the car she wanted to go fishing as well,I decided to head for the pier and try get some mini species
I set up a small rod for her and she didn't have to wait to long to get her first fish a small coalfish she had a great time trying to reel it in
she got a few Corkwing Wrasse I think
corkwing2.JPG
and a benny as well
benny.JPG
she spent 4hrs fishing and enjoyed it,her mum came and picked her up and I headed to a rock mark a mile away for a few casts for mackerel, had a good few casts and none showed so I put some limpets and started getting bites pretty quick
first fish was a Corkwing Wrasse??

next was a ballen wrasse

had to pack up shortly after that,if I have identified the fish wrong let me know,I think they are Corkwing Wrasse but might be Rock Cook wrasse as well

thanks for the id steve,I was not to sure about the one in the last photo,I hope to try it again over the weekend to try add a few more species as well, some big fish around as well, she had one great bite that nearly pulled her in,it broke the 6lb line that was on the reel,by the time I looked over the pier the fish was gone

she enjoyed the fishing and didn't get bored at all,I decided to try the pier and use small hooks and bait so she would have a chance of getting a fish, she got 6 fish and 4 different species, not sure will she make a angler she didn't want to hold the fish
