Duration:10-30am-2pm
Tide:dropping
Weather:windy, misty
Bait:rag, mack
Rigs:one hook mini rigs and 2 hook flappers
Results:ballan wrasse, pollock, corkwing wrasse, whiting, blenny
Report:Had some rag leftover from last night, so after a quick look at the weather forecast and the tide tables I decided to head out to my perch at Greystones rocks . Father and 2 sons fishing when I arrived and we could fish away in the knowledge that the rescue services werent too far away, about 20 yards to be exact, as they were doing a drill. First 2 drops resulted in 2 small pollock so I had a job putting the small rod down to set up the Penn Guvnor 12'6''. As it turned out I neednt have bothered setting it up as all I got on it was a tiny whiting, but you have to try. On the small rod , I had a steady stream of fish,,,,,,,,,,pollock, ballan wrasse, corkwing wrasse, codling, blennies ,all enjoyable to catch as I scoured around the rocks below. Theres a price to be paid unfortunately and I lost a few rigs,,,,,,,,,but on a positive note I have loads of simple mini rigs made up so loosing two isnt too bad
