People me and tom

Duration 11.45/6.00ish

Tide rising

Weather windy

Bait mac/squid/sandeel

Rigs pullys/3 hook flapper/conger rig

Results some doggies/mac;/puckers

Report we intended to fish the pier at the foot of the town, but when we landed there, there was a lot of young ones in canoes paddling back and forth around the place. so we decided to head on out of the town and fish the big pier.
tom wacked out a three hook flapper and i put a pully out at distance, i then set up the conger rod and baited it up with mac; and squid, and and put that out to our righthand side, as soon as it hit the bottom i got a run :D but it dropped the bait  after a short time i got a decent full on the pully rig and landed a nice doggie ( they are a nice sight when nothing else is happening ) fishing was very slow to say the least, but then tom came back from the van with his lucky hat on :D :D :D and straight away his rod bent over  he also landed a doggie. and other quiet spell started up, so i set up a spinning rod and tryed for some mini's and was soon catching small pucker's. tom then landed a nice mac; at 40cm's, and another doggie. after that things just went dead all togather, so we packed up and headed home for the spud's, fishing was not great but it was still a day out, and the crack and banter was great :D

Ah John, even I know that a pucker is a small pollock  . I worked up in Moville years ago, when I wasnt into fishing,,,,,,,,,,,,,when I think of the places I worked in and had nothing to do at night except drink when I could have been fishing  ,,,,,,,,,,,Donegal, Sligo, Cork, Galway,Clare,,,,,the possibilities were endless
