Galway mark 03-sep-'10

#1 Post by kaylemf »

People:
Myself, Chris, and Conor (daminim)
Duration: 3 hours

Tide: Rising

Weather: Strong SE, Dry, warm enough

Bait: mack, a couple of frozen black lug, sandeel.

Rigs: 3 hook flappers

Results: Conor - 5 flounder
Chris - 12 flounder and 1 turbot
Myself - 14 flounder

Report: Went to a mark which we haven't fished in a long while so we were hoping it would produce, got there at 9pm to be greeted by a strong SE wind, surf was very nice for here, perfect conditions really, anyway got set up and cast out, from the first cast we had a couple of flounder and it was looking very good, we got a good few double shots and then Chris got a triple of two flounder and a turbot, all fish were lovely sizes with the smallest being 23cm, and a couple reaching the 40's, glad to see this mark producing as it hasn't produced very much lately, all fish were returned alive and will fight another day, lovely to meet you conor and im sure il see you again sometime for another session. :) all my fish were caught on mackerel with chris getting his on mackerel and lug tipped with mackerel and conor getting them on mackerel and sandeel. Sorry about no pics cant put them up from my phone.
