north wicklow next night 31/8/10

#1 Post by mitch »

people me /millbrook

time 9.45 to 2.50 am
tide rising

rigs pullies and flaps

conditions calm

bait mack/crab/lug/rag/sandeel /

results smoothies pups / dogs/dabs/flounder/whiting/and codling

after the night before spirits were high ,so two rods set up with pully
rigs and out they went and within 10 min i had my first run and landed a pup just over doggie size :P great start and soon after
the ratchet on 2nd rod went and another pup slightly bigger than
other came in .dogs started to show and they were all over the
place and no bait was safe with them

fishing was steady even with the crap tide and there was a good run of fish till about 12 oclock when a trawler came along no more than 500 yds off the beach and and passed us and then stopped about 1000 yards north of us
flow of fish till

the fishing just died, it was a big boat and between the noise of
its engines and f...ken flood lights it killed the fishing ,to make
matters worse another boat joined him  they just sat there
till we left

would love to know what they were up to ........

hi dave
its not fish there after its seed mussell and their the reason
fishing is so bad along the east coast .... they are ripping
up the sea bed and leaving it like a waste land ......

something has to be done about this and its up to us cos
nobody else gives a fiddlers

ASHLEY HAYDEN is working on this at the moment so LET US ALL GET BEHIND AND SUPPORT HIM. this type of fishing has got to change
