North Down, 30/08/10

#1 Post by Drew »

People: Kyle, Dan, Drew

Duration: 1pm - 5pm

Tide: Up n Over

Weather: Sexy!

Bait: Lug, Peeler, White Rag, Razorfish

Rigs: Various

Results: Codling, Coalfish, Ballan, 5 Bd Rockling, Shore Rockling

Report:

Too nice a day not to go fishing! Started off this morning at 9am, Got the bucket out and dug a load of lug with Dan, along with some White Rag, and a lone Razor, Danny also got a couple of 50p Size Peelers which were a great size...

Went to our local mark, not really knowing what to expect, as it was our first session here in a couple of months.

We soon got confimation that the fish were on however, when we managed a couple of Coalies.

Fishing was slow to be honest, but the ever present anticipation of a real rod bender always demands maximum concentration on this particular venue. You've gotta be quick or the kelp soon claims the fish and the rig. Dan found out to his cost a couple of times.

But a great day to be out, and great to get a couple of fish.
