heading down to cork harbour this weekend fishing out of cobh on small boat, just wondering what type of species might i encounter and what baits i should bring, any info would be great lads.

Inside Roches Point: mackerel, conger, dogfish, huss, codling, whiting, pollack, poor cod, bass, plaice, dabs, flounder, launce, blonde and thornback ray, tub gurnard
Outside: you can add haddock, red gurnard, grey gurnard, ling, cuckoo and ballan wrasse,coalfish and pouting with bigger cod, pollack and whiting
Baits: plenty of mackerel inside and outside the harbour bring everything else except the maddies
no small fish down this way.

Thanks Donal sounds the bizz, kind of heard it can be scratchy but i suppose knowing where to fish is the key to good catches

I am indeed Jim, 20 of us heading down to the Bellavista for the weekend. Fingers crossed weather and fishing is good.
