Report:first I headed for my ray mark but too many sailing boats around to fish it so headed to the pier and when I arrived I saw a mackerel basher trying to unhook a set of feathers from a dogs ear so I set up well away from him
set the bait rod and then had a few casts for mackerel,not many about but was nice to get a few for the dinner
then had a knock on the bait rod and landed a scad

then a bit later had my first of 4 pollack

after dark it went quite but did see a flounder swimming near the surface of the water,some thing I never seen before
