fishing Teelin
Hello Trigger
I dont know how it is fishing at present. If you have not been there for a while, the pier has been extended, if you want to fish from the pier, the only way to get to the seaward side is over the pier wall. in that case you will not see the last 50yds of the retreive
I recall reading that the person that ownes the land is not keen on people crossing it without permission.
After all that good news the usuall baits of Mackerel, rag, lug etc. Usuall coming on to the evening the whiting start to appear

when i fished there, (few years ago) there was pollack off the pier, flounder, codling mackerel and conger off the back of the pier.
but the best place is off the rocks ,( just a little walk more to the right of the pier about 100 yrds) you are fishing into serious deep water, (pendulum cast out didnt hit bottom for at least 30 seconds, maybe more)
cood size whiting, cod, rockling, pollock, coalies ect, ect.
mackerel was the best bait i found tipped with squid
i fished there around begining of august '98, dying to get back there.
over 17 species in four days..
