People:derek and me

Date :3/8/10

Venue:lenan pier

Duration:me 5 hours, derek 6( i was late )

Tide:filling

Weather: not bad light wind, light rain

Bait: everything we had

Rigs:everything from conger rigs to size 4 match rigs

Results: me 1 pollock, derek 1 pollock, 4 pout, 1 tailless lsd and loads of weed

Report: meet with dereck an hour late, to hear he had 4 pouting already. so with high hopes i set up the float as the pier was busy. Must be a bit rusty missed a few bites, only for derek to pluck a pollock from the spot i was difting over but i got a laugh when he boasted about the doogie he was winding in, it let go of the bait as he swung it in . Managed to hook a wee pollock and i mean wee (derek has the photos)

once the pier got quiet i set up the big rods as derek was doing battle with the conger rod, it won again with another rig attached to the sea bed, he did manage to hook a doggie and it had no tail, he has a few photos, it was as if it has never been there, probably been cut off.

After that nothing, few hits but no hook ups, we stuck it out, well Derek stayed as its the furthest i have been this year, at least i didnt blank, but i must say it was the best nights craic i have had in a long while, thanks Derek, hope to met up again.
