Portrush, 1st August 2010

#1 Post by Drew »

People: Myself

Duration: Afternoon

Tide: Drop!

Weather: Showery

Bait: Ragworm

Rigs: 2 up/1up 1 Down

Results: 11 Flounder, 2 Dab, 3 Ballan Wrasse, 1 GS Wrasse, 1 Codling

Report:

Went to Portrush harbour for the day, started off down near the tackle shop where I got a small codling and a gs Wrasse..

after about 20 minutes I moved to the end of the pier, where I started picking up lots of small flats, Hooked a Flounder and it swam into the weeds, and a Ballan took the top snood.... think it's the weirdest double I've ever had.

Fished for Ballans in the weed and managed another 2, Happy days.

After this I fancied something bigger and moved round to the blue pool... Big mistake. No fish.

Great afternoon up the coast. Loved it!
