greystones 31/7/10

#1 Post by fishingking »

headed down to greystones for the day with me mate onur for the day. slow at first but eventually hooked into a couple of dragonet.after that the wrasse were in in numbers caught about 25 of them all small except for one that was fairly big about 2lbs.during that caught three pollack 2 coalfish and a big red codling.while poor onur stuck to spinning was having no luck at all.i brought the bait net along aswell caught a couple of small fish and some crabs in it too. and at the end of the day unexpectantly caught a strap conger as soon as the bait hit the water.all fish were caught on squid and rag and all were returned alive and all were caught on a spinning rod.but the swimmers around there can drive you mental they like swim as close to the very sharp hooks as close as possible even though there are two very big beaches two minutes away.
