Hi all
Need to get a new boat rod . Can anyone recommend a good all round rod for tope and the odd conger

If its primarily for tope and the "odd" conger, you can do a lot worse than the Daiwa TDXU 2-8oz uptider. Super rod. Had decent blue shark on this, 30lb plus tope in 4 knots of current and Conger to over 30lb with no issues. Not overly cheap though Im afraid.

how about a Diawa Kensaki 30 to 50lb class.7ft9in .Superb rod will handle any type of boat work.very sensetive and great bite detection for big or small species .

Thanks lads the Daiwa TDXU 2-8oz uptider sounds like exactly what i need the 30- 50 is a bit heavy how much did you pay for it

I think it was about the €200 mark Andy. Do a google for it, its bound to be a little cheaper now.
