its a strange place to steal anything. the chain is right in front of the lifeboat office.and they can see all on front of them .george in the office told me it must have been done in daylight as it would not raise suspicion if some one was working on a boat during the day.just be on guard and keep everything out of sight. i myself dont put my cover on the boat as this acts as a way of staying hidden for them

Re: dirty robbing b.......s
just an update on this. they got a marine radio, a fishfinder and a full tackle box left all the tools and fishing rods but i think the picked the wrong boat went out this morning with my cousin and he arrived with a full fingerprint kit and managed to lift several hand and finger prints all on the door they unscrewed . i have to say i gave him a big slagging[kept calling him horatio caine] but as he said they would probley not expect someone to go that far for a bit of gear but if a name matches a print he;l have them

Hope you nail them. But to stop it happening again, I'd be inclined to fit a small alarm to the cabin etc. You can get ones designed for sheds and boats for about €30ish, they're easy fitted and have an earpiercing shriek that would wake up the lads on the quay. Try Maplins, and I think Lidls does them now and again.
