fahan beach 28/7/10

#1 Post by fishermannum1 »

People me and tom

Duration 11am to 4pm

Tide dropping

Weather good , some light rain

Bait squid/mac;/sandeel/sprat/razor/lug

Rigs pully's and flappers

Results one lone doggie!!!

Report meet up with tom at fahan for a few hours fishing, conditions looked good and our hopes were up. but the ramonds must have been away on a day trip or something  for we threw everything out for them but hooks came back everytime striped bare, after a few hours of feeding the crabs i noticed a slack liner on the bb and hopes were high for a ramond, but it just turned out to be a small doggie. we gave it another couple of hours but no joy, so packed up the gear and headed for home. but still it was nice to get out and have a bit of banter and crack with tom, tom has a lucky hat for sale, but he thinks its lost its mojo

It hasn´t fished well because its fished out!! Also people not taking care of the thornies when they land them!! Was down with the dog a walk one day after 2 clubs had been on it and counted 7 dead Ray lying on the beach which was an absolute joke!!

I have to agree with you there Ronan. So much for clubs fishing catch and return rules. Clubs that allow this slaughter of fish should be named and shamed.

A short but sweet report 8) Love the pics. Well done Don on getting something even if it wasn't what you had hoped for, at least it saved a blank mate. Hard luck Tom, things must be bad if your wanting to sell your once "lucky" hat. Don't worry, you'll get your mojo back soon :D
