west waterford

People:2

Duration:sunday 4.30-7, monday 5-7

Tide:high tide

Weather:sunday calm and clear, monday calm but a little murky.

Bait: spinning

Rigs:plugs and spoons

Results: sunday myself 4 bass, peter 3. Monday myself blanked peter 4 bass.

Report: The weather was perfect and to have a full moon was a bonus, only after buying a few new lures and was keen to try them out, we got there early and straight away we could see there was bass on the move. Iv never seen two lads to get there gear together as fast. It took about ten minutes before peter was into his fist fish about 2 lb. Five minutes later he was in again to one around the same size. I was starting to lose faith in the new lures i bought. I put up a shallow diver and bang second cast i was in bass around the 3 pound. The action continued had 3 bass with in ten minutes between 2 and 3 pound. All went quiet for a while and we managed another one each just at high tide. Went quiet after that so after a good days action we decided to fish the Monday aswell.
Monday wasnt as successful for me as i blanked, lost a decent fish on a patchenko but that dosent count
if it did he was 10 pound ha ha. Peter managed a few 2 to 4 pounders so he won the bragging rights for the day.
Had a great two days fishing, great to get out to that fresh see air thats what its all about.
