Had one good bang after that but no fish.Baited up with a big fat rag and a lump of razor cast very short 5 mins bang .Reel the fish in and a nice little bass for myself Over all a quite night but very happy with the bass when it was so flat
Well done gents Nice bass razor. Don't give up on the the lure fishing for them, you'll get one eventually and when you do you'll say it was well worth sticking at it. Good luck.

I thought the same thing when I first started using the lures, it just wasn't happening for me either. But I stuck at it, tried different lures, tried fishing different places and eventually after alot of hard work and effort I got my first Bass on the lure and I have been hooked (pardon the pun) ever since!
Stick at it and it will happen.......

Well done on the bass.
Some beaches fish quite well with a weak surf but there are others where you need a good surf to bring in the bass.
Persist with the lure fishing - especially next month and September - I had a lot of bass on lures in September last year.

Hi keep at the lures...caught my first bass on lures about a month and a half ago...have 12 the last month on lures.(more than i would bait fishing)..what a buzz love it...my advise is spend the money on quality lures...you'll be addicted..haven't bait fished since...hehe
I'm in west waterford too...
