Well done gents :D Nice bass razor. Don't give up on the the lure fishing for them, you'll get one eventually and when you do you'll say it was well worth sticking at it. Good luck.

The surf is better for the bass .But one of my best nights over the years for bass was flat water,it just looks better with a surf

I thought the same thing when I first started using the lures, it just wasn't happening for me either. But I stuck at it, tried different lures, tried fishing different places and eventually after alot of hard work and effort I got my first Bass on the lure 8) and I have been hooked (pardon the pun) ever since!
Stick at it and it will happen.......

Well done on the bass.
Some beaches fish quite well with a weak surf but there are others where you need a good surf to bring in the bass.
Persist with the lure fishing - especially next month and September - I had a lot of bass on lures in September last year.

Lovely fish.
I tried lures 5 times last week and blanked. Perseverance is the name of the game by all accounts :)

Hi keep at the lures...caught my first bass on lures about a month and a half ago...have 12 the last month on lures.(more than i would bait fishing)..what a buzz love it...my advise is spend the money on quality lures...you'll be addicted..haven't bait fished since...hehe
I'm in west waterford too...
