People:Skipper Jeremy,Brian and myself
Duration:1400 - 1700
Tide:ebbing then slack
Weather:Lovely day - no rain!!
Bait:feathers and mackeral
Rigs:feathers,jelly worms,conger rigs
Results:sandeels,cuckoo wrasse,mackeral,pouting,pollock & ling
Report:Got invited out for a trip on Cuan Shore out of Portaferry, how could i refuse?
Boarded at 1340 and headed out to the Barr mouth where we feathered for mackeral.
No big shoals and we had to keep moving to get them but got plenty in the end.
Moved further out to a wreck where we drifted it about 12 times then anchored up over slack water.
On the drift I landed the biggest pollock of the day on a jelly worm.
At anchor we hit more pouting, and a few nice ling of which Jeremy caught the biggest.
A brilliant few hours fishing and we headed back in.
Big thanks to Brian and Jeremy for the invite and I would deffinitely recommend him for charter trips.

cheers Al,
tried to get out on a few charters out of Ardglass for the last two years and it never happened due to weather etc.
So I jumped at the chance to go out from Portaferry.
Jeremy says it can be hit and miss but it was definitely a hit that day.
Lovely huss you had by the way!
