At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

The ICAST Show is like looking forwards about 6 months as to what new stuff will be introduced. It's not the big European show, but the US-EU crossover products will be obvious.

Humminbird news from ICAST
A new 1198 is rolling out this fall/winter. Faster processor than current 1197, much brighter display for daylight visibility. An 1158 is also coming out at the same time.

Ethernet networking is rolling out this fall/winter. Will allow all sonar (and GPS position/routes/waypoints) to be shared by 2 units (at first....4 unit networking is rolling out shortly thereafter).

Some technological improvements to the 500 series units....basically higher resolution display at constant pricepoint.
