new to sea fishing was wanting to do some plugging and spinning do i just attach these to the main line or do i need wire trace? :? thanks in advance.

No wire trace. Not necessary and wouldnt do the action of the plug any good. :)

I fish braid with lures and attach it directly via a small spinlink clip - plenty of types in the shops. Some people like to put a mono leader on braid but I discarded that a while back as pointless. If you're fishing mono you can go straight thru, either via a specialist knot or the spinlink, both have their fans.
