Ennereilly 10th Of July Leinster League U-16's and U-21's

#1 Post by trout hunter jnr »

People:Myself and the bosses

Duration:Well scheduled 6 til 10 but due to unforeseen circumstances 6 until 7.00

Tide:Ah dont start choppy rough and good for surfing.....radical dudes....

Weather:The rain developed and the wind changed...just like fishing unpredictable !

Bait:Lug mack and sand eel

Rigs:Various

Results:Oh wet clothes for the mother and a chinese take away

Report:A weekend away with the cousins in Knocklyon meant a detour of a trip to Arklow's Ennereilly for the 4th Leinster League Competition. Arrived with light rain and a wind blowing. Got set up and congratulated Eric on his team success in Peterhead recently. Got down on the beach and started to prepare my rods etc. while battling the sharp wind. 1st cast out and not a fish to be seen across the board. One weaver fish caught beside me and well 1 or 2 fish caught up at the under 21s area. At around seven the lads had decided it was unfishable.Comp shall be rescheduled.
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!
