3 wexford marks

#1 Post by robbiemag »

People:Myself and Daughter

Duration:2 hours on 2 different nights

Tide:High water and drop

Weather:very windy

Bait:lug, crab and razor

Rigs:various

Results:5 doggies, 7 smoothies and 4 bass over 2 nights

Report:
Took the kids of for a weekend away and managed to sneak in a few hours fishing. Fished a beach during the day at the top of the tide. It was very windy and there was a nice surf on it but didn't get a tap. Pulled in balls of weed every cast so decided to pack it in and head to the amusements with the kids.

Tried a different beach I where ive had a few fish over last few weeks and fished it in the dark on the drop. It was still windy but no weed so didn't mind the fishing. Fished for 2 hours and had 3 bass and 4 smoothies. Smoothies were only small but bass were around the 4 pound mark. Good scrap out of them. :D :D

The next night I went fishing with me daughter. it was very windy so i drove around looking for a sheltered mark. Fished a rocky spot I normally spin for bass. We had a little fire goin and were well sheltered from wind. We had a few doggies first then came along the smoothies. I put out a second rod in near with a whole razor on it hoping for a ray. We were packing up and the near rod doubled over. Had a great scrap and in came a bass about 5 pound. :D :D Great nights fishing. Plenty of fish in 2 hour session. Headed back to holiday home with a big grin on me face.
