Fished two hrs here yesterday on a massive spring tide. 16.30 to 18.30.High tide about 1740. Tried to fish the channel but too much current and weed. Moved out from the estuary and had 1 bass about 2lb on razor at 18.00.

Previous day fished Guileen to inch with plugs, mate with the fly. Was also a camera crew over from England with four anglers flogging it, but all we saw was one fish which i succeeded in spooking rather than hooking. Local knowledge suggests at least a week is needed.

no mackeral at Ballycotton pier yet, last year buckets of them at this time!
