Head out tonight with bait .lures are not for me after about 10 blanks .Got to the mark and it looked good nice big surf :D Nothing much going on for the first 3 hours.The weed starting to get bad but i fished on .Then it came ya that big rod bender :mrgreen: He gave a few good pulls nice bass about 5lb.about 5 min later a nice bang on the rod hoped it was a bass but no a dog .when i was getting ready to go home tap tap on the rod nice flonder .over all a great night happy out in car on the way home :D :D Report:

Nice bass there mate. Goes to show that sticking out the perfidious weed can sometimes be worthwhile.

Well done for sticking it out - you got a nice reward at the end of it.
Bass are still very slow to take lures - lure fishing should be much better in August and particularly September.

Ya the weed was bad. but went back last night and it was fine

Well done , lovely fish :wink: , i was baitfishing last week in Greystones,,,,,,,,,,not a bite for about 2 hours,a guy walked past us,said hello and cast out,fish straight away on the lure :shock: :shock: :shock:

lovely bass man 8) i know what you mean about the lure fishing. any time i'm plugging away without sucess,,, there's a tiny voice in my head saying " if only i had a 3 hook flapper out there with bait on it,, i'd be cleaning up " :roll: :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:
