2nd july conamara

people..myself

bait..mack and razor

rigs.. pulley

weather.. very windy and very wet..

RESULT.. itching to get out fishing but with the high winds lately not looking good,, but the hell with it iwent for it.. headed out to conamara about 6pm for a ray session.... got there and set up.. it was hard going cause the wind was very strong and the rain came down in buckets... in one of the photos it look like the end of the world the way the weather was the picture was taken about 9pm.... anyway back to the fishing the few couple of hours nothing happened... but just as it bucketed down rain i got the first bite... it was a hard hit... so feck the rain got into the fish.. it was a nice male thornie and what a scrap it gave me... they fight alot better than the female it has been a while since i got male ray.... fish on, bait out,another male,, fish on bait out another male 3 in a row.... all giving me a good scrap.....

nice catch.. pity about the weather though.. i kinda had sense to stay indoors today, even though i was itching to get out, the thought of getting rained on for a few hours wasn't too appealing..
think i'm becoming one of those fine weather fishermen :shock: :shock: will have to rectify that soon..

Well done Alan, lovely rays there. It would take abit more than bad weather to put you off your fishing although if the last picture is anything to go by it does look like it was a really fierce night down there last night. I hope you had a waterproof camera with you :lol:
Well done you for sticking at it and not giving up until you got what you went for, that's dedication for ya and you can't accuse you off not being that when it comes to fishing 8)
