thanks noel. it was hard worked for. just thanks be to god it did'nt end up like jordan's epic quest for a turbot
evan699 wrote:Well done al and norman. That's the start of an obsession anyway. I hooked my first one a few weeks back but he also hooked me. Love them
thanks evan. i can now see it's appeal
roger de dodger wrote:great stuff boys ,great pics and what looks like a lush spot to fish

cheers roger. cracking wee spot that. well handy for jordan seeing as most of the other spots round there we fish for them you have to wade out chest deep for them. something jordan could'nt do

Well done K2 (Norman)

that’s a lovely fish for you again, well deserved with all the sessions your putting in.
Congrats Al on finally getting your first mullet

I’m really, really happy for you mate. That’ll be you hooked on them now for sure!
Didn’t we tell you that mullet fishing was exciting! It’s the best thing since sliced bread I’m think
On the subject of bread, goodness knows how many loafs you lot have thrown in this week, those fish will be getting fatter and fatter every day feasting on all that bait.
I heard that Jordan did a great job netting K2’s fish, well done him, it’s not an easy task at times trying to net an angry mullet in the net that is doing it’s best to get away. I should know, I've had plenty of practice myself with netting K2's fish over the past few weeks
Great report and pictures again Al.
I’m hoping to get my account opened up at home this year myself soon, I’ll be out all weekend trying, fingers crossed.
thanks paula. the wee man did a great job on net duty

. he just wanted to hold a mullet to see what it was like

. and could'nt get over how solid they felt

Der Baron wrote:Well done Al, have had a couple of goes myself, but frustratingly a lot of bites and no hook- ups. I'm gonna return with the fly rod and give that a rattle, to see if I've any better luck.
cheers paul. i hope you get one as it would go mental on a light fly rod set up

Dawsey wrote:What a fine session it was, my heart was in my mouth wen you wer playing him, felt like 5 hours not 5 mins

i know dawsey. all i kept thinking about was the one you lost the other day

. i thought he was well hooked, but one turn of the head and he was away. i was just praying not to befall the same fate

. you could'nt believe the relief i felt when it was finally in the net
