People: Me Shane and Eric
Duration: 9 pm to 1am
Tide: 2hours each way
Weather: Calm, clear, mild
Bait: Makerel
Results: Conger
Report: Meself and the lads hit a local rock mark in hope of a few eels so we got to the mark around 8.30 and the eric lad was straight out with a 2 hook flapper and so we took turns for dogs untill it got a bit darker as it was a tad bit early for the conger .... First off the mark was myself wit a nice thug on my rachet so i picked up the rod tightened up and could feel the eel picking with my makerel head but do ye think he would swally it ?? Then moments later shanes rod was knocking away and when he picked it up it was clear that he had hooked an eel with his conoflex nemesis slr doubled over

.. A little scrap pursued and then he landed him , weighing in at just over 6 pound ! Shortly after i got another strong run and struck into a decent eel but i was struggling wit the conditions around me to say the very least

.Im not sure how many of you witnessed the thunder and lightening storm along the dublin coast last nite but i have to say when your standing on a rock with 14 foot of carbon pointing into the sky and a eel fighting the other end .... the task at hand wasnt easy

We were fairly quick to pack up and get the fluck back to the car ..... All in all a good nite wit plenty of CRACK and at least one of us manage to achieve an eel
