Kinsale Bass

Im originally from kinsale but usually fish in the river bandon. With the river so low though I might give the bass a go. Have been out a few times in Kinsale trying to catch one but no good. Has anyone ever had much luck around the area? aLL i GET IS MACKS AND POLLOCK
