local mark galway

#1 Post by lucky »

people..myself and husshunter

bait...lug,squid,, and mack

rigs..two hook flapper...

RESULT.. arranged to meet husshunter at a new mark in galway to try for a few flounder and turbot.... i got there about 6pm and started to fish it was hard going with weed, pleanty of it.... later yanto joined me ,, i decided to go futher up along to shoreline to stay out of the weed.... yanto stayed putt,,, my first cast was a hard hit,, thinking not a flounder bite so reeled it in a cracking 3 and a half pounder wrasse... not bad... walk back up to yanto to see how he was getting on,, ye a few small flounder and turbot... when i got back to my rod it had a little flounder on it... fished till about 12 midnight but not much action........

Well done lads.....those wrasse don’t half hit don’t they...the fight they give you is brilliant 8) What bait did they take for you Alan? Your bigger one is a cracker 8) It's just as well Alan that you moved away from the weed abit, if your wrasse had've dived down into it you would have had some fight on your hands to get it up and out.

Very nice wrasse there Lucky. Well done. The weed seems to be causing havoc on a lot of marks. It can really test your tackle to the limit.
Ya should a been here last week.

Good fishing lads, though it looks for all the world like you caught that first wrasse on a candy cane :D
