new sligo mark and a sligo Bass

#1 Post by yorkshire man »

People: Shane and i

Duration:9-2

Tide:dropping

Weather: crap

Bait:lug mac

Rigs: flapper and pulleys

Results: flounder and bass 8lb i

Report:
Tried a new mark Saturday night pain to get to but it was worth it.
Tide was dropping and the wind was in our face it was like fishing in January there was a fair bit of weed around which made the fishing rather hard shane caught some cracking flounder the bass fell to lug at first i thought i had a caught a big lump of weed till i realized it was running across the beach eventually got it in after two stops removing weed from the line, cracking fish photo's are very poor you cant even see the fish in them so i won't post them .
Will definatley try this mark again

It was a cracker of a session. I could put up with the weed if got that bass from it. It wasn't the easiest mark in the world to get too but I'll be making the trip again and soon. I was delighted for Mike the fish was a monster it's just a pity I made a balls of the photos  !! We both got a bit over excited when he hit the beach!!

Thanks lads going to try that spot again this weekend , silly thing was we had spoken about it for a while now but would never have tried it if we hadn't been dragged out there by our wife's the previous Sunday for a family day out.
Tony wasn't the same beach but not that far away will give it a bash next time you come over this way.

Jesus Mike don't ever let the wives know that we're happy to have had a family day out instead of fishing or we'll have to do it every week!!
Tony the mark wasn't too far away from where you dug your lug last weekend  !
