Waterfoot Pier & Garron Point, Co Antrim. 28th June 2010

#1 Post by nobuzz »

People: Just me

Duration: 11:00 to 16:00

Tide: High at 12:00ish

Weather: Showery & breezy

Bait: Rag & Mackerel

Rigs: 2 hook flapper & float

Results: Waterfoot - 1 Flounder, 1 Plaice, 1 Dab. Garron Point - 2 Ballan, 1 SS Scorpion fish & 20+ Pollack

Report: Headed to Waterfoot to try the pier. I started getting bites as soon as the baits were in the water. Anyway, after getting 3 mini flatties in quick succession I decided to move to Garron point to try for something a bit bigger.

It was fairly choppy at the Point but I was into Pollack pretty much straightaway. I picked up the wrasse & Scorpionfish tight in against the rocks.
Species List 2012 (Me) - Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Plaice, Codling, pollack, dab, SS Scorpion Fish, Ballan Wrasse, Codling.

Species List 2012 (Daniel) - Not got started yet :-(
